The site includes the Centre International d’Art Verrier (CIAV), the Halle Verrière and the Musée du Verre et du Cristal. An emblematic site in the Northern Vosges, it has developed since the establishment of the Meisenthal glassworks in the 18th century. A great deal of technical and artistic research was carried out over the years to establish the place as avant-garde, before its decline in the 20th century. Since then, the complex has become a jewel in the crown of Lorraine’s industrial heritage and a place of remembrance.
